The crown that is promised and we find it referred to twice is the crown of life.
These two passages James one: 12 and revelation 2:10 say: “blessed is the man that endured temptation for when he has been approved, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to them that love him. “That’s from James. The other passage admonishes, “be thou faithful on to death and I will give you the crown of life. “
This crown is the sufferers and the martyrs crown, a special crown of honor and reward given to Christians who has a result of faithfulness to their Lord, have suffered much for him this crown is promised to them that love the Lord so; but the context indicates that the quality of that love leads these who qualify for this crown to truly live godly lives in Christ Jesus for which they suffer resulted persecutions. in the passage in James The thought pertains to the man that endures temptations; and in the passage of revelation the advice to be faithful on the death is given in view of the terrific persecutions and suffering that Christians at Smyrna were to undergo. At first hand of relation to we have these words “fear not the things with thou Art about to suffer: behold, the devil was about to catch some of you in the prison, that you may be tried; and you shall have tribulation 10 days. Be thou faithful on the death, and I will give the crown of life.”
Dearly beloved, the Lord is saying, you are face-to-face with great suffering for my namesake. Some of you are actually faced the choice of death, or denying me. “Be thou faithful on the death. “Take death rather than to deny me. You’re suffering will be greater than that of many others. Many who are also saved by the grace of God as you are will not have to endure so much. But take courage your endurance and suffering will not be in vain. I’ve got a crown that’s just for you, It’s the crowd of life. In that great day when rewards will be given to the faithful, you who have suffered and endured for my name’s sake against terrific and unusual odds will receive a special reward, the crown of life.
Now tell me, what could be fair than for God‘s to reward his children? One time a woman said to her creature, “why, I’ve been a Christian for many, many years and I have never suffered any persecution. “She made this statement after hearing her preacher emphasize the fact that “all that would live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. “Second Timothy 3:12. We might accurately conclude that this woman had not lived “godly in Christ Jesus “in as much as she had never suffered persecution. And, in passing judgment, we might be tempted to say, “well, I doubt that she was a Christian. “But maybe she was. Perhaps by the grace of God she will come into his presence among the save as the one pictured in first Corinthians 3:15, with no works abiding the test of God‘s judgment of the believers works. In such a case what are the results? Let’s read diverse. “If any man’s work chubby burned, He shall Suffer laws; but he and himself shall be saved; he has so as through fire. “
In this passage first Corinthians 3:10–15 only the saved are in view top; and the judgment pertains to “each man’s work of what sort it is. “If any man’s work, upon being tested is comparable to go, silver, or costly stones, “he shall receive a reward. “But, on the other hand if in proving the quality of a man’s work, it is comparable to wood, hay or stubble, for suchThere will be no reward, “but he himself shall be saved; Santa: yes so as through fire. “
We cannot, then, help but conclude that there may be some Christians whose lives are not sufficiently godly to bring upon them resultant persecutions, yet who will be among the redeem. If so, we receive “the crown of life “, which is promised only to suffers our murders? And will such a one be able to accuse God of unfairness when he passes out crowns to those who did suffer? No indeed! We would be unfair if God did not have some special recognition for such.
