You are invited to Cherry Street Church of Christ for the August 30, Fifth Sunday Song Service.  The service begins at 3:00 PM,…Yes, mid afternoon.  After the service there will be an ice cream social. The 33rd Annual Ladies Retreat will be held on 8/21-8/22 of 2026 at the Silver Heights Camp in New Albany, IN.  We invite any and all ladies to attend and be blessed by the Lord.  In 2025 we had a good number of Ladies in attendance and heard good messages delivered along with prayer and singing and fellowship.  A blessing:  Ladies from the Cramer & Hanover C of C (now closed) have donated to the Retreat $4,000.  THIS MEANS THERE IS NO FEE FOR ATTENDING. Our Theme this year is “Living for God” Our 3 speakers for this year are Doris Corby, President of Right to Life of So. IN, JoAnne Broaddus, and Libbie McMahan.  Tammy Miller is song leader, and there will be times for reporting on Mission trips. The Kentucky-Indiana Christian Fellowship Week was held on July 20 – 23, 2026 at Sellersburg Church of Christ.  Monday night we enjoyed the beautiful singing of Christian Music by the chorus from Woodland Bible Camp Music Week. The largest attendance is always on Monday night so the other 3 nights had smaller attendance. All the speakers delivered messages that were well received and thought provoking.

Monday: To Remain Faithful (Hebrews 3:1-14) speaker Frank Preston.

Tuesday: To Remain Active (Hebrews 10:19-25)  speaker Jim Gillaspie.

Wednesday: To Remain Hopeful (1 Thess. 4:13-18) speaker Tim Morrow.

Thursday: To Remain Vigilant (1 Thess. 5:1-11, speaker Jerry Carmichael.

As a non- profit private foundation. SCEC also supports the mission work in the Philippines through a $2,600 annual gift to Church of Christ Worldwide.  SCEC Website recently updated: sceconline.org.  Donations are welcome and should be sent to SCEC, 476 Sparrow Lane, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
