“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.” “…In fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering service to God.” – Jesus Christ, Yeshua the One True Messiah
A non-Christian, Konstantin Kisin, who is seeking truth, wrote last night, “I hope I’m wrong. But tonight feels like some sort of invisible line has been crossed that we didn’t even know was there. The last time I felt like this was 9/11 when it was clear, without knowing the how and the what, that the world was about to change forever. Like the rules of the game had been permanently altered and there was simply no going back to the innocent, peaceful past.”
I do believe that he is correct, as I have felt the same, but I think that I can identify part of it.
Something very powerful happened in the spirit realm yesterday.
Two things. The first is that Charlie Kirk’s martyrdom—yes, I meant to use that word because I believe it to be accurate—will spur on true Christians to forgive those who persecute (and kill) them and to be more bold in their proclamation of the Good News. The second is that a very powerful evil spirit has been unleashed which will enable Satan to take more lives of those who are proclaiming Truth. We are seeing both of these verses beginning to play out.
My friends, we’ve been racing toward the Day of the LORD, with birth pangs increasing all around us. Many of our fellow Christian brothers and sisters throughout the world have already been put to death in the thousands just this year alone. We are not better than they are; instead, we have been protected. Until now.
That protection is rapidly coming to an end, as Charlie’s death shows us. It is time that we choose to stand with them—that great cloud of witnesses—for the Truth of the Gospel.
When God commissioned Joshua as the Israelites were preparing to pass over the Jordan River, He told him, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” They were crossing over into Canaan, an area that had been under the control of the gods powered by Satan. It was not going to be easy. But, the One True God was with them.
It was pre-incarnate Jesus who said these things, and in that same passage he also told Joshua, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
He was trustworthy then. He is still trustworthy and He is still with us. No matter what.
