Introduction: God has entrusted us with both privileges and responsibilities as Christians.  Because of our faith in Jesus, we are to live out our faith and help others come to know the Lord Jesus as their Savior.  Just as we were called out a kingdom of darkness, controlled by Satan, and conveyed into the kingdom of the Lord Jesus, the Church. (Col. 1:12-14).

We must desire to serve God, and if we so desire, He has promised to help us. Grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus (2 Peter 3;18). We must remember and rejoice because, according to Eph. 1:3, we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

We sing a. song that has the following words, “we’ll work till Jesus comes!”   We can never work our way to heaven. We can never do enough works to warrant our salvation, but we must be faithful workers of Jesus. If we believe in a works salvation, we must work to be saved. On the other side, if we believe and live salvation by the grace of God, we get to work; we are privileged to work for Him.

Our plans are to break down Colossians 1:24-2:5 into 3 sections. Each section will emphasize how we can live out our faith in Jesus. God calls us to be wholly devoted to the mission of Jesus by sharing it with the lost and helping them to become Christians.

The first article in the series of these verse will come from Colossians 1:24-25; the second from verses 25-29, and the third from Colossians 2:1-5.  We make break each of these into more articles.
