From 9-2 Saturday, August 3, 2024, 147 ladies registered free at Pine Prairie, Louisiana Church of Christ’s 11th annual Ladies Day.  The facility was decorated with butterflies and lively colors.  The ladies received ditty bags and a ticket for a door prize while a photo booth was available for group pictures.

Under Brenda Leggett’s direction, Dee Dee Murphy welcomed the guests and served as an amazing emcee for the day.  Sheila Gough led the singing of praises to the Lord.  Others led in heart-felt prayers.

The theme of the day, “Transformed,” highlighted by Marlayna Meche Myers of the Bayou Jacques congregation, was spiritually uplifting.  Using the four stages of the butterfly, as egg, larva, pupa, and adult, Marley compared it to the growth (transformation) of a Christian.

Eight gentlemen from the Pine Prairie congregation cooked, prepared, and served a delicious meal and then cleaned afterwards.

The wonderful day was filled with laughter, competition, and cheers.  Now we anticipate August 2 of next year, Lord willing!
