February Trip To Louisiana
February 10-20, 2023, I was in Louisiana reporting on my November 2022 Mission Trip to Zimbabwe with Dale Garrett. I was blessed to have stayed in facilities of the Glenmora Church of Christ. While in Louisiana I presented the PowerPoint of the. Mission trip to the following congregations: Glenmora Church of Christ (Feb. 12th), Lecompte Church of Christ (Feb. 15th), and at Oakdale Church of Christ and Cypress Creek Church of Christ (Feb. 19th). I was also blessed to attend a Men’s Retreat at C.Y.E. The theme of the. Retreat was “Be Equipped,” from II Tim. 3. The speakers were Justin Simmons, Don McGee, Brock Dupont and Jacob Roberts.
Yours in the Blessed Hope (Titus 2:13), Larry Miles.

Editor’s Note: Please continue to pray for the Christians in Ukraine. Those that we know have so far been safe, though many of them lost their homes and had to relocate. Those remaining continue to hold church services where possible and spread the Word of God and help others with food and supplies as they are able. Missile attacks continue to cause widespread damage to the electrical grid as well as damaging buildings and killing citizens. For many, no electricity means no heat. This is a very serious problem as the cold weather months have arrived.
You are invited to the 2023 Ladies Inspiration Day in April.

Washington Rd., Taylorsville, KY. 40071. Please get this on your calendar and plan to spend the day in fellowship and in being encouraged through the speakers. We do not have notice of check-in time but it is usually 8:30 or 9:00.
FALL LADIES RETREAT Sept. 29-30, 2023.
A REPEAT ANNOUNCEMENT: PLEASE BE PRAYING FOR THE 2023 LADIES RETREAT. WE WILL SOON BE SENDING OUT MORE INFORMATION. We have not had a Ladies Retreat since 2019 due to Covid and Kavanaugh having closed permanently. We are so excited about the Silver Heights Camp in New Albany, IN. We are so thankful to have found this place to hold the 2023 Ladies Retreat. We pray God will bless us with many ladies desiring to attend. This will be our 30th Ladies Retreat even though we skipped the three years. Maybe we should pray for at least “30 Ladies for the 30th Year” If you would like to see the facility the website is: https://www.silverheights.org/facilities/. Note: If you visit the website, none of us will have to occupy a top bunk! We will be using email to send more information out to the ladies whose email addresses we have and if you have never attended, please consider coming. We will be sending fliers out to the churches. Anyone who attended in the past will tell you what a lovely time we have with Spiritual encouragement, prayer time, fellowship, and food. We will start at 6 pm on Friday evening with a pitch in supper and program. We will end at 2 pm on Saturday so those from out of town can get home before dark. Please spread the word and be praying about this event and pray for the Committee as we pray and plan. September is getting closer and closer so please be praying.
