Lord willing, Mike Abbott will soon take the leadership of GFM as our new Director.  Much progress has been made in moving our operations from Indiana to Louisiana but there are a few steps remaining.  We are hopeful that we can be up and running with our new office by the first of the year.  Please watch for announcements concerning our new mailing address.  Meanwhile, you may continue to send your gifts to our current mailing address with confidence:  P O BOX 2474  CLARKSVILLE IN 47131.
Editor’s Note: Please continue to pray for the Christians in Ukraine.  Those that we know have so far been safe, though many of them lost their homes and had to relocate. Those remaining continue to hold church services where possible and spread the Word of God and help others with food and supplies as they are able.  We have just recently learned that another round of missile attacks in the west has caused widespread damage to the electrical grid.  For many, no electricity means no heat.  This is a very serious problem as the cold weather months are fast approaching

NOTE TO THE LADIES: As you know, we have not had a Ladies Retreat since 2019 due to Covid and Kavanaugh having closed permanently. BUT, we (committee) are excited to announce that we have located and put a deposit at a camp in New Albany, IN.  If you know where Cherry St. Church of Christ is located, this is just past the church, under the interstate, and up the hill from there. It is Silver Heights Camp and Retreat Center.  There is a lovely large building with a very nice kitchen for our ‘come together’ times and several sleep cottages.  God has blessed us for the 2023 Ladies Retreat with a lovely and convenient location and we pray He will bless us with many ladies desiring to attend.  This will be our 30th Ladies Retreat even though we skipped the three years.  If you would like to see the facility the website is:  https://www.silverheights.org/facilities/.  Note: If you visit the website, none of us will have to occupy a top bunk!

We have reserved Silver Heights for Sept. 29-30, 2023.  We will be getting out more information in early  2023 and we encourage those who have attended Ladies Retreat in past years to put this date on your calendars and plan to attend. If you have never attended, please consider coming.  Anyone who attended in the past will tell you what a lovely time we have with Spiritual encouragement, prayer time, fellowship, and food. Please spread the word and be praying about this event and pray for the Committee as we begin to plan.

Southeastern Christian Education Corporation was established after Southeastern Christian College in Winchester, KY, closed, in order to use the funds from the sale of the property to the city. The funds are used for grants to eligible students to help cover the cost of a Christian college education.  Donations are accepted and should be sent to SCEC, 113 East Poplar St., Harrodsburg, KY 40330
