The 2022 Senior Citizen’s Week at Woodland Bible Camp in Linton IN was well attended. The Speakers were excellent, Fellowship was grand, and the food was good.  (This info from an attendee.)

Goin’ Fishing Ministries

Plans are still in place for Mike Abbott to take the leadership of GFM as our new Director, but the schedule has been temporarily delayed.  A minimal amount of legal paperwork is necessary for us to move our office from Indiana to Louisiana.  All of our records are in order but filing and completing the paperwork process is taking much longer than we anticipated.  We are hopeful that this will all be wrapped up by the end of this year.
Meanwhile, you may continue to send your gifts to the same mailing address with confidence.

P O BOX 2474  CLARKSVILLE IN 47131.   We promise to notify our givers when we make the change to a new address.

Also, please note that Mike Abbott and Paul Kitzmiller arrived safely home from their trip to Zimbabwe in August,  We hope to have a report from them soon to put in Word&Work.

Editor’s Note: Please continue to pray for the Christians in Ukraine.  Those that we know have so far been safe, though many of them lost their homes and had to relocate. Those remaining continue to hold church services where possible and spread the Word of God and help others with food and supplies as they are able. We will update this information as we get word.

Larry Miles and Dale Garrett are leaving for Zimbabwe on Nov. 1st  and will return at the end of the month. The plan is to be in Zimbabwe for four Sundays.  This from Larry Miles:  I want to thank everyone who has donated to the mission trip to Zimbabwe. As you know, Bro. Dale Garrett and I were planning to go to Zimbabwe in the. Spring of 2020 to visit churches and individuals  in the work there. We were going to be involved in teaching and preaching to uplift our African brethren.  But, because of the Covid 19 outbreak, we had to put the trip on hold. If you would like to support this Nov. 1st trip you may send donations to: Dana Stone, Make Check to Hamburg Church of Christ, and mail to the church C/O Dana Stone, 8921 Newberry Road, Sellersburg, IN.  Indicate on the check that it is for ‘African Mission Trip’. Please be in prayer for these two as they teach and preach in Zimbabwe.

Southeastern Christian Education Corporation met on Saturday following the Fellowship. We hope to have more information regarding this group soon.  It was established after Southeastern Christian College in Winchester, KY, closed in order to use the funds from the sale of the property to the city. The funds are used for grants to eligible students to help cover the cost of a Christian college education.  Donations are accepted and should be sent to SCEC, 113 East Poplar St., Harrodsburg, KY 40330
