Mae Broaddus, wife of the late Victor Broaddus, passed away Saturday night January 16. The time of visitation and funeral service is still not certain.  We hope to have a memorial service later this year when the Covid restrictions have abated. We were so very blessed to have such a wonderful woman as our mother and rest in the comfort that she sees her Savior face to face and her sufferings are over.

From Jim Broaddus: Funeral service for Mae Broaddus will be Friday, Jan 29 at 2:30 PM at Kerr Brothers at 3421  Harrodsburg Rd in Lexington KY.  Visitation will start at 12:30 PM.

       Obituary: Bro. David Stanley Brown age 87 of Russellville, Kentucky passed away, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born in Kalomo, Zambia on April 17, 1933 to the late William Leslie and Addie Mae (Roles) Brown. David was a member of the Providence Baptist Church in Simpson County, grew up in the mission field with his parents in Rhodesia, Started a church and ministered in Zimbabwe where he worked in the mission field for 50 plus years, and retired from the Logan County School System where he drove a bus. David is preceded in death by his first wife Medora Ann Gill, daughter Kimberly Sue Greer, son Stanley Gill Brown, three brothers; Dr. Robert Brown, Allen Brown, and Bill Brown, a sister Ardeth Brown and a grandson Brandon Brown. He is survived by his: wife of 43 years Colleen Brown, three sons; David Brown and Ian Brown both of Bowling Green, and Tim Brown of Lexington, a daughter Mary Slack of Bowling Green, three stepsons Mark Edgar of Russellville, Douglas Edgar, and Shaun Edgar both of South Africa, two stepdaughters Catherine Ogilvy of Zimbabwe and Gayle Goldberg of Australia, a brother Bernard Brown of Shepherdsville, a sister Betty Wetton of Russellville, 23 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.  A private graveside service will be conducted for the family with Pastor J. T. Curtis officiating. There will be no visitation. Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

        Obituary: Hall Wendell Crowder, 74, of Louisville, KY entered his eternal life Dec. 5, 2020. He was born in Cordell, Oklahoma Dec. 1, 1946 to Hall C. Crowder and the late Alice Crowder. He was a member of Southeast Christian Church where he formerly directed the Galileans and sang with the Master’s Men’s choir. He retired from United Cabinet Co. (Kabinart), Nashville, TN in 2017.   Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 52 years, Kaye Crowder; a son, Hall David Crowder (Courtney); daughters, Shannon Renee Lins (Dan), Candace Colleen Steyn (David); his father, Hall C. Crowder; sisters, Crystal Hardin, Cindy Brady (Ken), and Karen Ashley (James); ten grandchildren, Abigail Crowder, Hall Donald Crowder, Molly Crowder, Grace Crowder, Jude Lins, Caleb Lins, Bennett Steyn, Samuel Steyn, Dmitri Steyn, and Colton Steyn; nine nieces and nephews.   The Funeral service will be held at Southeast Christian Church Chapel in the Woods.
