#ReflectionsFromTheRough

       Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

                                                                                                    Luke 12:6-7;

     See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

                                                                                   1 John 3:1;

     For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

                                                                                   Ephesians 2:10

      How do we see ourselves? Does our reflection reveal bothersome blemishes, somber scars, and worrisome wrinkles or invaluable imperfections, deferential defects, and comfortable creases?

      More importantly, as we delve deeper, do we find inferiority, insignificance, discontent, and dislike? An inaccurate view of ourselves can send us searching for any and all self-help shape-up solutions.

     However, as believers, we should remember His word states we are important, valuable, secure, and wanted. Particularly during periods that find us feeling less than fine about ourselves – let’s try to view ourselves as He views us and refuse the dysfunctional distorted discernment of ourselves!

     May we reflect Him more each day. In doing so, our improved impression will be plain as day to the people around us and to ourselves!

Be blessed!
