CHURCH OF CHRIST WORLDWIDE (CCWI) – CENTRAL BIBLE SEMINARY( CBS)–SPECIAL UPDATE January 2020

Help in Times of Trouble “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.  Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Psalms 46:1-3”

Calamities are being experienced anywhere in the world. The Philippines is not exempted. Earthquakes happened recently in different parts of the country. The    latest destruction was caused by the typhoon Ursula that hit the central part of the Philippines last December 24 and 25, 2019. We were able to visit the town of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro , a place directly hit by the typhoon. There  were eight  CCWI local Churches in this area. Their church buildings and homes were damaged  by the typhoon

Just a few days ago, the eruption of Taal Volcano affected a lot of families living in the vicinity. Homes were destroyed and local churches of believers were affected. Three local churches started by CBS alumni are near this area. I learned that a couple (CBS alumni) has move out from this place because of ash fall . Relief operation is still going on as of today.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

  •  Pray that in times like this, unbelievers will realize the need to return to God. and trust Christ as their Lord and Savior.
  • Please pray for relief and reconstruction of local churches affected by typhoon, earthquakes and volcanic eruption.
  • Please pray that we may be able to minister to those who are affected by the calamities. . Local Churches here in the Philippines is raising funds for the reconstruction of damaged building

“He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”Psalms 46:10    Sincerely Yours,  Brother David Moldez.

  • CAMPAIGN TO RESTORE PRAYER IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS!   This may have gone unnoticed during the current Impeachment of the President  But around mid January of this year President Trump said:  “we don’t worship government, we worship God.  These angry radicals want to impose absolute conformity by censuring speech, tearing down crosses and symbols of faith and banning religious believers from public life.  America was not built by religion-hating socialists.  America was built by church going, God worshipping, freedom – loving patriots.”

On another front – the president was highly criticized for attending and speaking at the Pro-life march in Washing in January.   “He was only doing that to get votes for the next election.”    Anyone who supports and speaks out against abortion should get votes.
