BOHON CHURCH OF CHRIST in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, welcomes John Moore as its new minister. He and his wife, Donna, live in Simpsonville, Kentucky, and have been married for 48 years. They have one son, four granddaughters, and two great-grandsons. John holds an associate, bachelors and two master’s degrees in biblical studies and has ministered at various churches in Kentucky for over 30 years. Julius Hovan has retired and is no longer at the Bohon Church. He is available for Sunday speaking within driving distance. Thanks

BREAKING NEWS (Alan Borders) “The old tabernacle is gone and a new one erected, MUCH NICER! There is still a few things to get done including running some new water lines and the line to the tabernacle is one of them. Besides finishing the tabernacle all the other regular Spring Things need attention. Some cleaning is started but there is a lot of grounds work always to be done as well. Always thankful for all the help we get from all and especially the younger ones who come out for the Spring Clean Retreat. OHIO PASSES BAN ON ABORTING BABIES with beating hearts, governor proudly signs. (4/12/2019) Ohio legislation to ban abortion once a fetal heartbeat can be detected finally became law Thursday, after a lengthy battle last year came up one vote short of overcoming a veto by the state’s previous governor. The legislation passed the state Senate in March, and passed the state House Tuesday on a 56-40 vote, Cleveland.com reports. Ohio’s Republican Gov. Mike DeWine signed it later that afternoon, WOSU reports. “The essential function of government is to protect the most vulnerable among us, those who don’t have a voice,” DeWine declared. “Government’s role should be to protect life from the beginning to the end.”
WHILE WE WERE CELEBRATING EASTER…The day after on Monday, April 22, 2019 nearly 300 people were killed and some 500 injured across Sri Lanka as the result of six suicide bombings at churches and hotels on Sunday. According to reports sent out, 24 people were arrested after six suicide bombers entered three churches and three hotels in the Easter Sunday attack. THAT’S THE KIND OF WORLD WE LIVE IN! The apostle Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2:7,8 begins “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. “For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are His very own, eager to do what is good.” (Titus 2:11-14)
I came to fully understand the salvation in Christ while studying at CBS sometime in 1972. I graduated in 1976 and started teaching and making disciples for Christ in this Institution. More than 40 years had passed and I could only say that it is “only by His Grace,” especially as I teach 4 subjects and one extension class this semester.
CBS MINISTRY—By God’s grace, we look forward to the 57th CBS Commencement Exercises on May 20, 2019. For CBS to train and to minister to many disciples of Christ for more than 60 years is indeed by His Grace. Praise God that I am one of those who was trained in Central Bible Seminary “only by His Grace,” especially as I teach 4 subjects and one extension class this semester.

PERSONAL MINISTRY
I thank the Lord for helping me in ministering to local churches as I encourage, train, and preach the word every Saturday and Sunday. I have to travel to Tanza, Cavite one Sunday every month to do the ministry of the word there. Preaching God’s word every Sunday in local churches is indeed by God’s enabling Grace
Counseling, Officiating marriage, and Dedicating children to the Lord are opportunities for me to share the message of salvation to unbelievers who are attending the occasion. This recent holy Friday, 20 people were baptized in Maligaya, Novaliches Church as a result of sharing God’s word in the area.
Please pray for us as there was an earthquake last March 22, 2019 in Northern part of the Philippines.

Here the new imperial name for the new emperor have given most people a chance to make more money or else excitement as the current emperor will retire soon and his son will assume the nation, and the government decided to have a ten day holiday to celebrate the new era to begin with the new emperor. All satanic, seems to me. Now even so-called Christian churches of all branches and denominations, including the Roman church, are being intoxicated by the new era with the new emperor, and they do not pay much attention to Easter / the Risen Lord, far less on His returning back in His time – all satanic here in this godless nation.”

This week we have every evening sermons about the crucifixion of our Lord and the cross and in Sunday morning I’m going to preach about Matthew chapter 28 and the topic is << He is not here because he raised up >>. I wish the gladness of Jesus Christ’s resurrection continue to fill our hearts in order to continue serve Him with love in His work.
