IMFORMATION WANTED — This is  from  Bennie Hill.  NEED HELP in finding information regarding the beginning of KBC and SCC. The  only record I have run across so far is KBC was  incorporated on March 23, 1950 and SCC  in  1957.  I’m asking any former students, administrators, historians to help locate any information pertaining to the   beginning  of the  school that was a part of our  heritage. you can contact Bennie Hill — benhill2468@gmail.com

MACKVILLE SONG SERVICE:  It was good on the last Sunday of August for many Central Ky Church members to meet at the Mackville Church of Christ for the fifth Sunday song service and meet the new minister, Steve Pater.  Even though he admitted he was not a song leader and Mackville’s song leader was on vacation, there were plenty of song leaders in attendance.  It was an enjoyable evening as voices united in praising God.  Our hearts were touched as Bro. Steve’s two young daughters sang “Jesus Loves Me.”  We all joined in celebrating the 58th wedding anniversary of Bohon’s minister and his wife Julius and Claudia Hovan.  It was inspiring to hear of Bro. Steve Pater’s mother’s conversion to the Lord after attending the April’s Ladies Inspiration Day with Beverly Knecht.

UPCOMING MEETINGS:

September 20-23 Parksville Christian Church with evangelist, Sonny Childs.   Parksville will be having their 150 year celebration.  The Parksville congregation dates back to 1796 when Barton W. Stone came to Kentucky from Virginia.  He was said to be a very able evangelist. (taken from a historical sketch commemorative booklet during Louisville Christian Fellowship 50th celebration pg.41)

September 27th.  Cherry St. Church of Christ, New Albany, Indiana announces their Revival.   Bro. David Johnson will be the guest speaker.  Don’t forget the basket dinner on Sunday.

October 11-14.  Bohon Church of Christ (Julius Hovan, Minister) announces their fall revival with Bro. David Johnson.
