We have been working on a project for the last few months to scan into searchable PDF’s as many back issues of Word and Work (1916-2008) as possible. We have over 1,000 issues from 1916-2008 completed. We only need 35 issues to have a complete set. (We also have some issues scanned from 1908-1915)
I want to thank those who have given me “loose” issues to add to the collection. I also want to thank Tom Childers of Henderson, TN and Scott Harp of Buford, GA for their help and encouragement for this project to make available as an on-going resource this important journal in the Restoration Movement. Also, thanks to Bennie Johns of Arab, AL – he is able to scan bound volumes of WW without having to cut the spines. He has already scanned about 2o bound volumes I have in my collection. He has also scanned 7 volumes that Paul Kitzmiller provided (1916-1922) Scott has a web site dedicated to Restoration Movement History and has graciously provided a page dedicated to Word and Work. The web address is http://www.therestorationmovement.com/ww.htm (Scott Harp’s site)
Here is how you can help: Back issues will be added when they become available. Do you have back issues of Word And Work in your library that you are willing to part with? Also, if you know of someone, let me know. Also, I am looking for Bound Volumes of WW– If you have any, let me know what you might want for them. Also, these, “loaned” to us, can be scanned as a part of the project.
