100 Years Ago: 1914 — “Claude Neal states that J. E. Terry, of Orleans, Ind., began a series of meetings at Summerville, Ind., October 17. Brother Neal preached at Ellis recently.”
75 Years Ago: 1939 — “On Sept. 3, Bro. Olmstead closed a very successful meeting with the Ormsby Avenue Church. Seven responses, five of which were baptisms, and two came from a denominational group. Bro. Olmstead seemed to preach with unusual power.” ( S. L. Yeager)
50 Years Ago: 1964 — “Cherry Street is planning a fellowship week begin inning Oct. 18th with a different minister speaking each night. The program is as follows:

25 Years Ago: 1989 — “Bro. Richard Lewis spoke on the following topics October 15-20; The Church Rejoicing: In Marriage; In Our Children; In Prayer ; When God Is Present; In Christ’s Second Coming; In Its Mission; When Love Abounds.” — Linton Church of Christ.
10 Years Ago: 1994 — “Michiya and Tomoko Nakahara have a son, their first child, born Oct. 5. We have not learned his name yet. Pray for the Nakahara’ and their ministry in Shizuoka City, Japan.”
