Messengers of the Risen Son in the Land of the Rising Sun  (Bonnie Miller) tells the true stories of over 60 single women from the Restoration Movement who went to Japan as missionaries in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Women whose names have long been forgotten are brought back to life and honored for the sacrificial work they did to teach the Japanese the Gospel of Christ. The last half of the book focuses on Sarah Andrews, Lillie Cypert and Hettie Lee Ewing, following their work through WWII and what became of them after the war. Includes many historical photos and biographical data on each woman.
