From  1908-1916, Word and Work  was  published in New Orleans, LA   The founder was  Dr. David Lipscomb Watson.   From the  beginning  he  was  assisted primarily  by Bro. Stanford Chambers.  Bro.Chambers  purchased the  Christian Word and Work in 1913 and edited it till December 1915.  It was    sold to  Bro. Robert H. Boll of Louisville, KY and  he  began as  editor  with the  January 1916 issue.
