The 2013 LID was held at Sellersburg Church of Christ in the Christian Center on Saturday, April 13th.

The theme for the day was Rx for Christian Living and titles presented were:

                Motivated by Love

Educated in the Word

Dedicated to the Lord

 Separated from Sin.

Note that the first letters of those titles spell MEDS.

The speakers were well received and did a wonderful job of presenting their assigned topics.  Speakers for the day were Carol Miller, Melanie Adams, Tammy Miller, and Mazie Hecker.  Also on the program was ‘Thelma” aged 92, masterfully portrayed by Adele Hill.  Emcee was Ramona Marsh and singing was lead by Mariah Adams. A special song was presented by the Sellersburg Church of Christ ladies.

In keeping with our ‘medical’ theme, the lunch tables were decorated with nurses’ hats, Testa-mints, and pill bottles labeled with scripture verses and containing Tic-Tacs.  The pill bottles were take home gifts for the attendees.

Several comments were heard regarding how lovely the program had been and how enjoyable the day for all of the 125 attendees.  The committee had prepared for around 100 (oh ye of little faith) and it was a blessed problem to have to gather more chairs, print a few more programs, and find more name tags. Thankfully, there was plenty of food for the lunch of sandwiches, salads, and desserts served in the gym.

Several ladies said they believed it had been the best Ladies Inspiration Day they had ever attended.  Praise the Lord!
