• The Tell City church of Christ (Jonathan Adams, minister) is excited to announce their fall revival November 4th-7th (Sunday –Wednesday). The theme is “Glorify God!” The services  (CST) begin Sunday morning at 10 am and the evening Services begin at 6pm. There will also be a pitch in dinner following the Sunday morning services. The Speaker will be Brother John Kesel. Bro. Kesel, married to his wife Deborah for 23 years, currently preaches at Ebenezer Church of Christ in Salvisa, Kentucky, where he has been the minister for almost 12 years.
  • The Locust Street Church of Christ (Johnson City, Tennessee) will have a Homecoming Meeting November 4-7.  Dr. Robert Wetzel, former president of Emmanuel School of Religion (now Emmanuel Christian Seminary) will be the preacher for the meetings.  Gil Moody, who grew up in the church, will lead a service of special music on Sunday night.
  • The Portland Avenue Church of Christ, located at 2500 Portland Ave. in Louisville, will be hosting a Youth Rally from 2:15-3:15, Sunday, November 25. Sonny Childs, of Sonny Childs Ministries, Paragould, Arkansas, will be presenting the youth meeting. Sonny works as a full-time traveling evangelist and has presented several revivals in the Falls City area and has spoken at the KY-IN Christian Fellowship in recent years.  Hope to see you, Alex Wilson
  • Jennings Church of Christ at 1812 North Cutting Avenue in Jennings, LA announces that they have added Harold Langley, Jr. as their new associate minister. Harold is married to the former Mary Koll, daughter of Robert and Roberta (Smith) Koll. They are parents to Allyson (4) and Andrea (2). Harold preaches one Sunday a month and teaches the young people’s class while Mary co-teaches the children’s class at evening worship times. The Langleys reside in Jennings and are an asset to the work in Jennings. J. C. Bailey is the senior minister.
  • Welsh Church of Christ (LA) has been teaching their junior high class of boys about serving, aiming to be deacons one day, and on to eldership.   They have been serving the emblems at the Lord’s table for a year, and for a month now they have begun to take turns with reading a devotional and leading in prayer.  Three ministers for the church rotate the preaching and other duties. Included are Jerry Jackson, Jim Melancon, and Douglas Broyles.
  • Jennings Church of Christ wishes to announce the coming Youth Rally which they will host February 2, 2013. Patrick Mead will be the speaker for the one-day event. Christian Family Fellowship Church of Christ and First Church of Christ, both in Jennings, will be sharing in the planning and duties of the day.
  • Jennings Church of Christ hosted a Ladies Inspirational Day Saturday, October 13 with the theme “Be Born in Me.” Four speakers delivered messages about compassion, forgiveness, humility, and wisdom. Registered guests numbered 102 ladies from 14 different congregations. It was an awesome day, and we praise God for the blessings.
  • As of today (Oct. 23), 114 copies of Motoyuki Nomura’s booklet “Fruits of Adversity”  have been sent out to individuals, church libraries, and Christian college and university libraries.  Pray that God can use this ministry some way to bless missionaries the world over and those dear souls who need to hear the gospel.
