This is the last article in the section called “Exalting God, Not Idols.” Those who persist in the dark lifestyle in the previous verses, must know they will not inherit the kingdom iof God (cf. 1 Cor. 6:9-10; Gal. 5:19-21). We might ask the question, “Do Christians fall into condemnation for these sins? Yes, they do. Remember Paul told the Corinthians, “And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God” (1 Cor. 6:11). The Corinthians engaged in these sins prior to becoming a Christian, but even Christians can commit these sins and they must repent of them or face consequences in this life and the life to come.
Christians have a God that can satisfy all the right needs we have. He has promised us every spiritual blessings. Let’s enjoy them and live lives that glorify our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus while living in the Holy Spirit. We must worship the triune God alone, not cheap substitutes.
