JimGillaspieColorBelow are the lyrics to a song written by Jim Gillaspie, minister of Kentucky Avenue Church of Christ, Louisville, KY.   Jim’s wife, Betty, sang this song at the Ladies Retreat in September, and it resonated with those who heard it

The words are powerful and a strong reminder that we are saved by God’s Grace and there is nothing we can do to earn salvation other than accept his wonderful gift, sent to earth in the form of a tiny baby, born in a stable. The words are used with permission.

ALL THAT COUNTS WILL BE YOUR GRACE

Lord the years go swiftly by,
Soon will come my time to die.
And when I leave this earthly place
All that counts will be your grace.

Though I try with all my might,
I can never earn the right.
Not one sin can I erase.
All that counts will be your grace.

There is nothing I can do,
There is nothing I can say.
Lord my soul depends on you.
All that counts will be your grace.

Lord my sin is much too great,
I fall down beneath it’s weight.
And I know I have no case.
All that counts will be your grace.

Draw me closer, Lord to thee.
Wash my sins and set me free.
And when at last I see your face,
All that counts will be your grace.

There is nothing I can do,
There is nothing I can say.
Lord, my soul depends on you.
All that counts will be your grace.

Lord, my soul depends on you
All that counts,
All that counts,
All that counts will be your grace.
