Note: The Schedule for 2022 Woodland Bible Camp is in a separate article in this month’s Word & Work.

UPDATE ON WORDS OF LIFE DONATIONS

We are thankful to announce that Words of Life has received enough one time donations and monthly donations to cover the current expenses.  God moved supporters  to contribute in various ways and we are very thankful. Please pray with us about an opportunity that has been presented to the Board that is being considered.

The 75th Kentucky/Indiana Fellowship took place July 18-21 at Sellersburg Church of Christ.  There were around 160 for the Monday night session.  The Music Camp singers again blessed us with their beautiful songs. The following sessions were somewhat smaller than in years past but those who attended were blessed by the speakers, the singing, and the fellowship.  We hope to have as many of the messages transcribed and available in the September edition of Word & Work. If you were one of the speakers, please get a transcript of your talk to me.  See information for me below.  The complete schedule for the week is in the June edition of Work & Work. Bro. David Johnson was confined with Covid and Bro. Jerry Carmichael, on very short notice, did an excellent job with that topic.

The Lilly Dale Church of Christ continues to search for a full-time minister for our congregation. There are no upper or lower age or experience requirements. The church leaders are looking for the one who is called to minister to the congregation at Lilly Dale.    For further information please contact one of the Elders:

Goin’ Fishing Ministries

Plans are still in place for Mike Abbott to take the leadership of GFM as our new Director, but the schedule has been temporarily delayed.  A minimal amount of legal paperwork is necessary for us to move our office from Indiana to Louisiana.  All of our records are in order but filing and completing the paperwork process is taking much longer than we anticipated.  We are hopeful that this will all be wrapped up by the end of this year.
Meanwhile, you may continue to send your gifts to the same mailing address with confidence.

P O BOX 2474  CLARKSVILLE IN 47131.   We promise to notify our givers when we make the change to a new address.
Also, please note that Mike Abbott and Paul Kitzmiller will be making a trip to Zimbabwe, August 1-30, Lord willing.  They will have a heavy teaching and preaching load taking part in three camps (two of which will be just for men) and visiting several congregations in the Harare area.  Robert Garrett will not be going but our two travelers are working closely with him.
At one point we had scheduled a trip to Ukraine for 2022.  It became obvious early in the year that such a trip would not be possible this year or for some years to come.  In the meantime, Mike was investigating new areas for ministry and thought the timing was right for a visit to Zimbabwe.  Paul agreed to join him and together they have been working out the details.  Please be praying regarding this trip.

Editor’s Note: Please continue to pray for the Christians in Ukraine.  Those that we know have so far been safe, though many of them lost their homes and had to relocate. Those remaining continue to hold church services where possible and spread the Word of God and help others with food and supplies as they are able.

Southeastern Christian Education Corporation met on Saturday following the Fellowship.  More information regarding this group to follow.  It was established after Southeastern Christian College in Winchester, KY, closed in order to use the funds from the sale of the property to the city. The funds are used for grants to eligible students to help cover the cost of a Christian college education.  Donations are accepted and should be sent to SCEC, 476 Sparrow Lane Harrodsburg, KY 40330
