Dear Brothers and Sisters:

We want to update you on the status and plans for the Church of Christ World Wide from Lexington, KY.  In 1979 Victor Broaddus, Bennie Hill and the members of the Cramer & Hanover church saw the need to unite the Churches of Christ together in financially supporting our missionaries around the world.  The Church of Christ World Wide (CCWW) was organized to better serve the missionaries who are preaching the Gospel to the world.  Even as those two dedicated servants have gone on to be with the Lord, the ministry continues with the efforts of several individuals who carry on this important work.

For the last couple of decades, Bro. David Harding has been Director of the CCWW.  He, along with staff, has been instrumental in carrying on the work that was started by Bro. Broaddus.  After much consideration, Bro. David has notified the men at Cramer & Hanover of his desire to step down as Director of CCWW effective May 31, citing health concerns and other responsibilities.  He has asked the members to look into other options for the ministry to continue.  We have since been prayerfully searching for our next steps.

Several members of the Cramer congregation have stepped up to assist.  Bro. David is training these folks to handle the activities of the office.  There will be no disruption in either the collection or distribution of funds.  Also the Receipt Acknowledgement letters shall be sent out by the 10th of each month as they traditionally have been.  Bro. Tim Smith has agreed to step into a treasury role so you might see his signature on checks or other documents.

We covet your prayers as we transition to new avenues of getting things done.  Please don’t hesitate to send your support for the missionaries!  The funds will continue to be forwarded with confidence.

We are asking if there might be interest of members in your congregation to become part of this work.  The Cramer Congregation believes that the work done by the Missions Office is too important to let it be silenced.  We are, therefore, seeking men and women in our brotherhood who may feel the Lord’s calling to help continue this work and bring new energy and new ideas.  With technology now available, it is not necessary to be physically located in Lexington.  If there is an interest, please contact Tim Smith by phone at 859-321-1525 or email at tsmith801@twc.com

Please pray with us as we go through this transition and move ahead with the Lord’s calling to spread the Gospel to those all around the world.

In His Service,

Tim Smith
