From #Reflections from The Rough
19 Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another. Romans 14:19
27 Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel. Phil. 1:27
Tense times … weeks of worry … stretches of stress … disturbing days indeed. What is our reaction?
Conflict or calm?
Frustration or forbearance?
Hospitable or hostile?
Do we boost the bickering or dissuade the discord?
Perhaps we each should heed the old adage – take a deep breath and count to 10. Or maybe for those unmistakably messy moments – take two deep breaths and count to 20. Let’s each try to extend a bit more grace and forgiveness to one another. For believers, we should try to reflect Him to all we encounter wherever we encounter them.
Be blessed.
