2020 Kentuckiana Christian Fellowship Update-–It has been decided by the 2020 KY-IN Christian Fellowship Planning Committee to cancel the meeting for this year because of the Coronaviris and the CDC guidelines placed on churches.  It may be possible that the program planned for this year may be used in 2021.  That will be decided later.– Wayman Thompson, chairman

Woodland Bible Camp in Linton, Indiana. Please see the article in this month’s edition regarding the 2020 camp weeks.

The 1st Sunday in June singing that was scheduled for Allensville, KY, at the Church of Christ has been rescheduled to October 11th.    We are hoping that the Covid-19 requirements will be over by then and we can gather to worship the Lord with song.

Bro. Ben Rake Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.  He was born on March 17, 1944.  He had one sister, Betty Green. There was a graveside service on May 29th in Winchester, KY,  with many of his family and friends participating in testimony and song.  Ben was a well-loved minister of the Gospel and served at several churches in his time of working for the Lord.   He leaves behind his wife, Linda (Offutt) Rake, six children, 25 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Ben was loved by many at the churches where he ministered.  He never met a stranger and was always willing to help out in any situation.  He was a living example of loving and serving his God and Savior.

If you would like to honor Ben’s life with a donation, please donate to Lamb & Lion Ministries, P. O. Box 919, McKinney, TX 75070.

2020 Ladies Retreat.  For those Ladies that have attended the Ladies Retreat at Kavanaugh Life Enrichment Center in Crestwood, the Kavanaugh Center is closed.  At the present time the administrator there does not know whether it will even reopen.  The Ladies Retreat committee is considering whether to have a one day event in September on the Saturday we would have been at Kavanaugh. This is the 30th year for the Ladies Retreat and for that reason we would like to hold the one day event on September 26th at Sellersburg Church of Christ.  Currently we do not know what the Covid-19 closure / openings will be at that time and this makes it difficult for us to plan ahead. We will make an announcement as soon as that decision has been made.

That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
