Eph. 4:22-24  22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

In verses 20-24 Paul explains why we  must not live our lives like the pagans.  He describes coming to Christ with 3 word pictures: We are  dealing with the  first point in this devotional article.

  1. A School ( 4:20-21)
  2. Changing  clothes ( 4:22-24)
  3. A New creation (Eph 4:24b)

Remember, You’re  A New Creation (Eph. 4:23-24)

Paul tells us that the Christian life must be a renewed life. He further writes in Rom. 12:1-2

  1. I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

This renewal is an ongoing process. We continue to grow in Christ the rest of our earthly lives. We must reflect the glory of God by living a holy righteous life as His image bearers. We must set our thoughts and actions on the things above, not on the earth (Col. 3:1-2).
