Harry K. Coultas, Servant of God Gone to His Heavenly Home

Harry Coultas was a dear friend of ours.  Ray and Harry met in 1957 at Southeastern Christian College.  For several years after that our families were separated, living at different places in the USA.  IN 1973, our family moved to Tell City, IN, where Ray was to minister for the Church of Christ. From March, 1973, to December, 1979, our families became close, since Harry and Kate and their boys lived just up the road at Gatchel, IN, where Harry was minister of Lilly Dale Church of Christ.

Harry was a dedicated servant of God and loved people.  He regularly visited his church family and reached out to others in the community with visits to the sick and the elderly, and anyone else that he believed needed his services as minister, mentor, or friend. He officiated at several funerals in the area and at weddings.

Serving the Lord in whatever way needed was his daily practice. Ray and Harry worked together at times visiting and taking the Word of God to folks in the Perry County area. We enjoyed family times together. The two of them were Camp Directors together at Woodland Bible Camp in Linton, IN, for many years.

Harry had many friends from his college days at SCC and he tried to keep in touch as much as possible. He loved his family and his church family and prayed for them regularly.

When it became necessary for Kate to be in a nursing home, they moved to Lewisport, KY. Prior to this move, Harry had been lovingly caring for Kate’s needs.  Kate was (and is) in Heartland Villa Center and for a while Harry lived in an apartment behind the nursing home.  When it became necessary, he moved into the room with Kate.
