A New Years Prayer
At the dawning of this New Year, the Editors of Word and Work pray that we will all be looking to God and walking with Jesus as we go through 2019.
We pray for peace across the world.
We pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the nation of Israel.
We pray for the lost to be saved.
We pray for the safety of our Military and our local police forces.
We pray for our country and our leaders.
We pray for our families and our church family.
We pray for the soon appearance of Jesus to call his people home.
We pray that Word and Work will be used to win souls, encourage those who are saved by the redeeming blood of Jesus, and draw the people of God closer to Him.
We pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
II Thessalonians 1:11-12
Even so, come Lord Jesus.
