Reflections From The Rough

by Robin Embry

Our world seems to be in chaos – socially, politically, even nature itself. Maybe not only the world, but in our personal lives there is a concern of “what’s going to happen next”!

If we knew of someone who knew “what is going to happen next” today and could help prepare us to deal with it – would we spend some time with them? Someone who knew about the health issue, relationship issue, job issue, financial issue, challenge with our child, challenge with our parents, or any other issue which may arise today. Would we give them a few minutes? As believers, let’s be reminded, He, and His word, are available 365/24/7 to us!

May we each commit and recommit to spending time with Him in prayer and His word daily! Preparing ourselves for whatever may come by the renewing of our minds! Be blessed!

Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

II Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

II Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
