VOICE FROM THE PAST The late Bro. Richard Ramsey of Hammond, Louisiana once wrote: “Many churches and many preachers are always talking about the need for mission work, and most of them give a few dollars now and then.  All of us are praying for mission work and for the Lord to raise up more workers.  All this talk is good talk.  But talk will never accomplish the job.   When Moses prayed to God at the Red Sea, God said to Moses, ‘Wherefore criest thou to Me?  Speak to the children of Israel, that they go  forward.’ (Exodus 14:5)  Of course, if you don’t want to do it, keep on sitting around talking about it and asking the Lord to raise up workers (meaning someone else—not us).  It is time that we churches of Christ go forward.  Talking will never accomplish the job!”

CRETE, GREECE (Nick Tsagarakis)  Good evening Bro Bennie.  I do receive your e-mail. Sorry for the delay but I was travelling a lot. I and Chrisoula and the children are ok. I thank you for the message of the encouragement and hope!   In the last phone call  with Emie and Kostas, the children of brother George Galanis, I have found them to be well.   Jesus blesses me with many opportunities for witnessing because many people are seeking God because of the financial crisis and I’m able to give to them Bibles.  We appreciate your prayers and continued financial support.

In Christian love, Bro. Nick

From Dr. Dale & Mary Lee Jorgenson  “Monday, May 29, our children plan a brief open house for us here as Mary Lee and I celebrate 70 years of wedded bliss.  This speaks more for her patience and soldiering than it does for mine; she is by far the easier person to live with.  We both thank the Lord for so many years of togetherness.”  They reside in Kirksville, Missouri.  Happy Anniversary and congratulations.
