Greetings! SEPTEMBER 1, 2016
On behalf of the Church of Christ Worldwide I am writing to encourage you to RESPOND to our annual Prayer / Praise Booklet to be distributed by Thanksgiving 2016. Before you DISCARD this letter – please consider providing information again this year to be shared with churches, preachers, and members who are INTERESTED in Missions Around the World! Your particular ministry of outreach is of interest to many and we hope you will take the time to share with us!
I am in the process of gathering – updating material that can be sent to supporting congregations and individuals who are interested in missions. In order NOT to be so time consuming and RUSHING at the last minute to get this material to the printer, we are pushing our DEADLINE UP to September 30th.
I look forward to receiving your information by SEPTEMBER 30TH. Remember, you can send directly to Joyce Smith who is assisting me again this year with the booklet. Her e-mail address is smithjl@twc.com.
Thanks again for your participation and my prayer is that the Lord will continue to bless you and the work there. And our congregations can be better informed to make their prayers more specific.

Denham Springs Church of Christ (Mike Abbott)
Those of us in and around Denham Springs have been overwhelmed in the last several days, but not overcome. I have seen the goodness of God in people in the many rescues, relief efforts, and physical help. Sister congregations have helped our church by working to clean up our church building, giving our own church members the time they need to clean up their homes. Others have or plan on sending supplies and money. If you would like to help by donating to the flood relief, send your checks made out to Denham Springs Church of Christ to the address of our church treasurer and elder: Allan Bundy, 11475 Mollylea Dr. Baton Rouge, LA 70815. Please earmark it – flood relief. The elders of the church will oversee how the money is used in connection with the flood.
