LarryMiles2015100 Years Ago: Word and Work 1915-  H. L. Olmstead recently had the pleasure of baptizing in the Cumberland River some 28 who professed faith in Christ in a Presbyterian revival. Brother Olmstead has mission points in reach to occupy his every Lord’s Day afternoon. Good for Gallatin.

90 Years Ago: Word and Work, 1925 - Stanford Chambers, back from a week’s song drill with Winchester church, is now at Ebenezer, near Harrodsburg, in a meeting; and so is Brother Jorgenson.

80 Years Ago: Word & Work, 1935 - Fisherville church, near Louisville- , begins a meeting July 1st,Wallace Cauble preaching.  Paul Duncan is now laboring at Fisherville since Homer Mclain's move  to Horse Cave. Bro Cauble's meeting begins at Waterford on July 15th.

70 years Ago, Word and Work, 1945 - The Borden, Indiana, congregation is announcing a gospel meeting to begin July 22 with Howard Marsh of Sellersburg, Indiana, as evangelist.

60 Years Ago - Word and Work, 1955 - Η. E. Schreiner is to be at LaGrange, Ky., church in a meeting beginning July 24 and to continue for two weeks.

50 Years Ago - Word and Work, 1965 - Nelsonville, Ky.: Our work with two nursing homes in the New Haven area has borne fruit resulting in eight baptisms recently. Two carloads of the folks there (now members with us), come to our night services regularly and are a real blessing to all of us.
Brother Jesse Wood will preach at our annual Gospel meeting, which will begin with the morning service, Sunday, August 8. That day will also be our Basket Dinner. We urge all who can to join with us —Robert Heid
