100 Years Ago — 1915 -“H. L. Olmstead recently had the pleasure of baptizing in the Cumberland River some 28 who had  previously  professed faith in Christ in a Presbyterian revival.  Brother Olmstead has mission points in reach to occupy his every Lord’s Day afternoon. Good for Gallatin.”

90 Years Ago — 1925 -From Estherwood, La.: “Last Sunday we began our Bible class here, resulting in seventy-gfive per cent increase in attendance. The children are taught in English, while the older folks must be taught in French.”— Ivy J . Istre

75 Years Ago– 1940 — “R. H. B.  home from  meetings in Louisiana, begins a tent meeting with Highland church on June 2. The tent is pitched on the church yard, for convenience in all weathers. The meeting is to be protracted over June 16. after which Brother· Boll goes to Trumbull, Texas.”

60 Years Ago– 1955 –Nelsonville , K y .: ” The church at Nelsonville, Kentucky, plans a 12 day meeting, beginning June 29, and closing July 10. Brother Edward Schreiner, of Highview, Ky., is to be the evangelist.” — Robert Heid.

50 Years Ago – 1964 -Denham Springs, La.: “We were so glad to have Bro. and Sister Chambers with us a week in March. May they return this fall with God’s blessings to be with us again. The Denham Springs Church of Christ is slowly nearing completion. Not as many arc donating their labor as should be. Our treasury is empty; God has blessed this far. The attendance is good.”  – Mrs. Sidney Mayeux.
