PRAYER/PRAISE BOOKLETS were distributed to area churches this past week at the Thanksgiving Service at Portland Christian School.     Church leaders were encouraged to take several copies to be distributed to the respective congregations.   Others will be mailed out with the prayer they will be used to update and inform us regarding the various works.   If in the next few weeks you haven’t received copies, please let me know and if you NEED MORE BOOKLETS.   I can be reached at benhill2468@gmail.com or Church of Christ World Wide, P.O. Bro. T.Y. (Buddy) Clark went home to be with his Lord on November 11, 2014 at the age of 96. His memorial service of celebration was held November 17 at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Middletown, KY.  His ministry covered over 50 years serving as full time minister at Rowan St., Kentucky Ave., and Iroquois, and as one of the song leaders at Buechel, where he was a member until his death. After officially retiring as a church minister, he continue his passion for the Lord by overseeing a mission effort that included over 75 native preachers in the Philippines.   His service was officiated by his son, Tommy, and speakers included Bennie Hill, Bud Ridgeway, Larry Miles, Rick Murphy, and Stephen Clark. Congregational singing was led  by his grandson Christopher.

 Another of our Churches of Christ ministers Orell Overman was called home on November 25th at the age of 97. His memorial service was held December 1st at the Pleasant Grove Church of Christ in Lyons, Indiana, where he served as minister for nearly 40 year. The service was officiated by Floyd Stone who is the current preacher at Pleasant Grove, Jerry Carmichael, and Buford Smith. Several in attendance also shared memories of Bro. Overman.   His son Joe led the congregation in several songs and sang, “Oh What a Savior.”

 A 5th Sunday Singspiration for the Central Kentucky Churches of Christ was hosted by the Cramer & Hanover Church of Christ on November 30th.   A good time of singing was had by all in attendance from five of the Central Kentucky Churches of Christ. Nine song leaders came forward to lead the congregational singing. Special singing was also enjoyed from two different churches. The evening ended with a variety of refreshments served by the Cramer ladies. The next 5th Sunday Singspiration for Central Kentucky will be on March 29, 2015 and hosted by the Parksville congregation. (Frank Preston, Minister)
