December Issue of the News & Notes brings to an end another year for the Word & Work. I personally want to thank each of you who have contributed material throughout the year. We have attempted to share items of interest in the news and activities going on among the Churches of Christ. The year 2011 has brought many interesting news items that bring us closer to the soon return of Jesus Christ. It is my prayer that we’ll keep “looking up for our redemption is drawing nigh.”
Tell City Church of Christ, Tell City, IN — The elders at Tell City Church of Christ are happy to announce the recent hiring of Jon Adams as an intern minister. He has been filling the pulpit for most of 2011 and he and Mariah, his wife, have participated with our VBS, Woodland Bible Camp and youth retreats. As an intern minister we want to involve him in the rotation of teaching Bible classes and Wednesday prayer service and assisting in spreading the gospel in our community. Jon and Mariah have been commuting from Oakland City for most of the year. He and Mariah are in the process of moving into the parsonage. Jon grew up in New Albany and calls Cherry Street Church of Christ his home church. If you are looking for a church home, please join us Sunday for worship.
