- Martin & Susan Brooks (Middle East) are transitioning to a new organization called Peace Catalyst International (www.peace-catalyst.net). This organization was started two years ago. They work with international refugees, Christian and Muslim relations, and international students. The goal is to establish a Jesus-centered approach to peace. Because there is so much tension right now between Christian and Muslim communities, special emphasis will be place there. I have been asked to start a Midwest regional office in Louisville, KY. I will be visiting mosques in the region and trying to facilitate opportunities for dialogue and understanding between Christians and Muslims.
- Crystal Hardin (–) (from Cindy/Ken Brady – Biblica – former OM- Johnson City, TN) Construction is going on in the elementary school building to add a second floor so that the high school could move into the same building and not be in borrowed rooms in a completely different building and walking back and forth in all kinds of weather. They had to clean all kinds of construction mess out of the first floor so that the elementary school could open. The books still have not been released, but they are working on it, and meanwhile are starting with copying the textbooks for the students to use temporarily. The high school desperately needs a principal. Teachers are having to do administrative tasks as well as all their own preparations for school.
- Michiya Nakahara (Japan) God has led Tomoko and me to continue on in this ministry and take another step of faith. He has moved in the hearts of our people and He has moved many of you to serve as our prayer and financial partners today. He has shown us His will concerning this property, which is now being converted into a valuable parking lot for our members. We have begun paying back $137.500 interest-free loans to our members little by little. I can honestly say that I have no fear in this regard because our hearts are on fire for the Lord. I don’t think God is finished here. Our prayer is to use this opportunity to the best of our ability and to bring glory to God. It is said that Japan is one of the hardest countries in the world to receive the Gospel; but nothing too hard for God.
- David & Linda Moldez (Central Bible Seminary -Philippines) Let us praise God that the teaching and training ministries at CBS has already passed the middle of the semester. We are now persevering to finish the first semester of Academic year 2011-2012 by Oct 21, 2011. The student body has chosen also their officers this year. This is to give them more opportunities not only to study the Word of God but to lead and work together in the Seminary. It is our dream that the students of today will become leaders of tomorrow in local churches and in the different ministries for the Lord. Students have also organized prayer groups before classes begin. We are thankful for this because they were taught and trained to fully depend on the Lord in their daily walk with God and in this
