The Woodland Bible Camp Fall Youth Retreat was a tremendous success! A big thanks to the dedicated staff for their hard work and the campers for their desire to learn more about their Lord!
We had 46 campers plus staff for this inaugural event. More than 14 churches from the brotherhood were represented by staff and/or campers. Co-directors were Larry Bryant and Jeff Adams. Tim Parrot was the featured speaker and connected with the campers in a way us “older folk” sometimes cannot. We were blessed with wonderful young people as counselors. Our cooks went above and beyond the call of duty! Thanks also, to the churches who gave funds to keep the cost low for the campers and for the many wonderful church ladies who sent homemade goodies for breakfast Saturday morning.
Each camper received a t-shirt designed just for the retreat. On the back, in large letters are PBPGINFWMY. If you don’t know what that means, ask one of the campers with the rusty orange shirts!
As a follow-up to the fall retreat, there will be a youth rally at the Sellersburg Church of Christ on Saturday, December 18th. It will start at 10:00 and go until 4:00. Lunch will be provided. Each attendee will receive a t-shirt. The theme is ENERGIZE FOR 2011. There will be fun, food, fellowship, amazing singing, and challenging teaching.
